Today I’m over on CeeRee Field’s blog talking about playlists and the music that inspired some of the scenes in French Restoration.
I always have a playlist on the go, sometimes even ahead of me actually writing the book. For instance I already have the tune that inspires me for the opening scene of the fifth book that will see a return to Chateau Vauquelin. Yes, I know I haven’t finished the fourth one yet 🙂
Katie Melua’s, The Little Swallow, that some of you may recognise as Carol of the Bells, instantly transports me back to the chateau as it might have looked in the late 1930s—I’ve no idea why!
